Admission Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to the Registered Nursing Programme at Joan School of Nursing must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum age: Applicants must be at least 18 years old on their last birthday.
• KCSE: A minimum aggregate grade of C (Plain).
• KCE: Division I or II may also be considered.
• English or Kiswahili: A minimum grade of C (Plain) or Credit.
• Biology or Biological Sciences: A minimum grade of C (Plain) or Credit.
• Additional subject: A minimum grade of C- (Minus) or Pass in any one of the following:
  • Physical Sciences
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics

Important: Admission requirements may be reviewed and updated from time to time in accordance with the criteria set by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
